We Got 2 New Planes!!

We’re up to TEN planes now! First, we are eternally grateful to Chuck Warnick for donating his Taylorcraft to us. We promise we’ll take good care of it. A group of us went up to Simi Valley to go pick it up on Saturday and drive it down to Chino. It last flew in 1971, so we’ve got our work cut out for us, but we at Cal Aero Academy love a challenge.

The second plane we’ve acquired this week is a 1964 Piper Cherokee. A huge thank you to Mangic Foundation as well for donating us the funds to buy this plane. An IFR-rated plane will be so beneficial for our training. It hasn’t flown since 2001 and we’re looking forward to making this plane airworthy as well.

This has given us so much work for the next couple months. We can’t wait to start working on our new projects. Again, words cannot express our gratitude for these planes. It means so much to us. Come join us sometime and be a part of these planes’ history!
