The L-5’s Shiny New Paint Job

This week’s project was an exciting one. Before you paint you need to lightly sand the plane’s surfaces down to give the paint something to adhere to so that’s what we spent Saturday morning doing. In the afternoon we gave the L-5 one last check and wipe down, then finally began painting it. We decided to give it an historical paint scheme so it looks like it would have in the 1940’s during WWII. Of course we had to give our other planes some love and cleaned the Stearman and the Twin Bonanza, too. Come check them out for yourself!
